Large Scale Fly Ash Applications

Mr. Georg Dirk, Chairman at Dirk Group of Companies, will be presenting “Large Scale Fly Ash Applications”, at the Slag & AshTrade Europe 2019 Conference and exhibition to be held on March 28-29 in Madrid, Spain at NH Paseo de Habana hotel.

Although the generation of Fly Ash in India is still increasing from the expected 300 million MT by 2025 up to 900 million MT by 2045, to reach  100% beneficial recycling of Fly Ash (as demanded by Indian legislation) will still be a difficult aim.

The presentation describes the strategy how to sharply increase the beneficial use of Fly Ash and to develop a range of Fly Ash products, in particular those making use of fine and ultra fine fly ashes by increasing their content in blended High Performance Pozzolan Cements.

Georg Dirk has designed and operated several recycling processes for industrial waste. In 2000 he established DIRK India Pvt. Ltd for production of his branded Pozzocrete (processed Fly Ash) products used as a partial cement replacement in concrete. In 2014 DIRK India became a subsidiary of AMBUJA CEMENTS LTD. In 2017 he established DIRK Phoenix Pvt Ltd, a venture to provide a range of innovative Fly Ash products for the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Georg Dirk has been recognized in India as the pioneer who started off the large scale Fly Ash utilization in India and the Middle East .
